"lET’S DO THE WORK TOGETHER!"

Giving Up or Getting Better

I found fitness at the age of 15 with the 20 minute workout, remember those close-ups 🫣?!
At 17 I started running, loved it for 33 years. In my 20’s I joined my first gym, discovered the world of strength training and lifting weights. Then came Pilates, boxing, CrossFit, Yoga, etc. I tried them all. Why? Because I love to move, and loved how it made me feel. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I loved it so much I made it my life’s work.

NOW I still exercise every day. I move my body in some way, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. Movement STILL without fail changes my attitude, makes me feel amazing and sets the tone for my day.

I share this with you, because I get it, it’s not easy for everyone to see exercise as a joy, a need, a want.

BUT, ageing can throw many curve balls at us women. Our bodies are rapidly changing and it takes incredible consistency to come out of midlife better than when we went into it. We have to adjust, pivot, and change things up as we hit different plateaus. Things hurt, energy will ebb and flow, time to exercise can narrow, life gets in the way.

I get it!

BUT…

There is no better way to support aging than exercise. Strength training to be specific. You need strong muscles for healthy aging, to stoke your metabolism, prevent injuries (falling down) and support bone density.

If we don’t choose to actively and intentionally pursue our health and fitness at this age, we WILL decline.

It’s not fair, but it’s a fact!

BUT …
We CAN get better!

If we want to age optimally, this must be our lifestyle.

This is about STRENGTH, LONGEVITY and VITALITY.

We CAN get stronger as we age.

We get to choose.

Fitness is for YOU…it’s for all of us, at every age!

With love on your fitness journey!
